DiI-Ac-LDL Kit:  Acetelyated (Ac), fluorescently-labeled low-density lipoprotein (LDL) binds to a receptor on the surface of vascular endothelial cells & macrophages, delivering cholesterol via endocytosis.  This simple, one-step process permits cultured cells to be identified and analyzed by fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry, and to be isolated from mixed cell populations. Because contaminating cell types are not labeled, pure cultures of vascular endothelial cells or macrophages can be isolated from complex primary cultures using fluorescent activated cell sorting (FACS).  DiI Labeled Cells Remain Viable and can be Trypsinized.
